001 — Why we made it

Bringing the Kimono back, built to last.

Everyone loved the Perena kimono we made, so @gizmothegizzer and I wanted to bring it back — but this time as something built to last.

We are reworking it around durable materials, everyday functionality, and a timeless, genderless silhouette.

It is not really DeFi merch this time. More an experiment in turning our taste and belief into a piece of apparel you would wear for days and years ahead.

002 — Materiality & function

Song brocade collar

Song brocade collar 宋锦

Song brocade silk runs the full length of the collar — a woven tradition with centuries behind it, set where the garment sits closest to the face.

Padded cotton–nylon body

Padded cotton–nylon body

A lightly padded cotton–nylon shell holds its line without stiffness, wave-quilted so the loft stays even after years of wear.

Patterned quilt lining and inner pocket

Patterned quilt lining & inner pocket

Inside, a satin wave quilt meets the brocade placket, with a deep interior pocket sized for a phone, a passport or a hardware wallet.

岩花 embroidery

The house mark 岩花 — cliff flower, the alpine bloom that roots in stone — embroidered by hand at the hem in tonal thread.
